The Mr. M story

From never owning one to twelve.

I was the guy who admired Miele from a distance—the kind of quality you see in places you can’t afford. Then one machine came into my life, secondhand. It didn’t just work; it lasted. And it changed how I thought about what we buy and what we keep.

That one machine became two. Two became a kitchen. Today we run around twelve preloved Miele appliances in our guest house. Every one of them earns its place. No showroom polish—just real use, real reliability, and a belief that the best engineering deserves a second life.

    First buy — Novatronic W820

    The one that started everything. A Miele Novatronic W820—top-loading, built like a tank. This preloved machine proved they were worth chasing.

    Second buy — Novatronic W864

    Not long after the W820, the W864 arrived—front-loading, 5 kg, electronic controls and fuzzy logic. Two Miele machines, both preloved. The addiction had begun.

    W1614 joins the family

    A Miele W1614—quiet, efficient, and reliable. Every machine added reinforced the same truth: buy Miele once and it lasts.

    G660SC — the dishwasher

    The kitchen was taking shape. A Miele G660SC dishwasher arrives preloved and earns its place immediately.

    W3240 — first of two

    The W3240 is a workhorse. This one came in first, and proved so reliable a second soon followed.

    A matching second W3240. Two machines, same model, same reliability. The guest house laundry room was now fully Miele.

    A Miele iron roller. The fourteenth machine. At this point it wasn’t a collection anymore—it was a conviction. Mr. M is born: specialists in preloved Miele appliances, rehomed with care.
